Where to Plant an Addition in the Garden

The first order of business in preparing for the mudroom addition is to figure out where to go with all of the shrubs and perennials that fill the area outside of the back door we call The Magic Garden.  For the most part, everything to the left of the sidewalk will stay, but must be moved temporarily.  And everything on the other side has to be removed down to the bench.  This area is home to hydrangeas, countless types of hostas and many other shade-loving perennials.
