Spring has passed and summer is fully blazing as the sun reaches its peek at the Summer Solstice. At this time of year, the moon and sun are seen as being equals and it’s often called the Dyad moon, or moon of equal parts. We feel the strong energy of the sun reflected in the moon.

The creative forge of the sun-fire gives us the urge to undertake a creative pursuit. Perhaps it’s to redesign a garden, make something from the herbs gathered and dried from your garden or maybe something entirely new that you’ve never done before.

The power of fire is also transforming and now at the Strong Sun Moon it aids us to transform ourselves from what we are into what we wish to be.

The nurturing relationship between the sun and moon also draws our attention to our own relationships and families. It’s no coincidence that family get-togethers and backyard barbecues to celebrate the joys of the season are popular at this time of year.
